I wanted to share a little about my journey with you.

I got married when I was 20 years old. I had my first baby at 21 and my second baby at 25. Shortly after my second baby, I BEGAN to wake up. I was so deep in family conditioning that it felt like I was disappearing. I had a job that I liked, but I was miserable. Years went on; my awareness was growing, and it was making my life much harder. I was not connected enough to be able to process or understand what was happening.

I quit my job, separated from my husband, (we eventually got back together) and took my first yoga class. I loved it! I signed up for as many yoga classes as I could. My kids were in school, and I practically moved into the yoga studio. There, I studied the yoga sutras and vedic chanting. I couldn’t get enough. 

I then got a job at the yoga studio running the front desk. Eventually I took over the lobby by bringing in clothing and books. It became my home away from home. After a very short time, I started teaching yoga. I studied with some great teachers, including Gary Kraftsow, Erich Schiffmann, Pujari, and Trish O’Rielly. I became certified in phoenix rising yoga therapy. 

By that time, we were quoting the yoga sutras and chanting during yoga class. I started sounding like my yoga teacher. I even began taking on some of her personality traits. This prompted me to WAKE UP and realize that if I don’t leave, I could lose myself completely. The next day, I told her I was leaving. She was shocked. I packed up my stuff and left. 

I opened my own yoga studio called Inner Journey Yoga in San Diego California, where I taught for 3 years. I incorporated my teachings as well as intuitive guidance. Still, yoga was not my calling, but the journey to Self Realization was. I wanted to know God. I had to understand myself and my life from a higher awareness and more spiritual perspective. I will always be grateful for that time in my life. It was an important part of my journey which led me to my Guru Paramahansa Yogananda. 

Ultimately, I learned about myself, my life and the reality of God directly from my Guru. I didn’t work for the next 5 years (on the outside). I became a metaphysical minister and sat daily to listen and learn. This led me to become a spiritual intuitive. I received what is my practice today. It took almost 25 years for this to unfold. I feel so blessed to have received (and continue to do) this work. It is such an important body of work for anyone who is waking up. We need support on this inner journey. We cannot do this work alone.
